    Summary
    Al ha-Saf, or "On the Doorstep [of the Land of Israel]" was one of a number of periodicals published by holocaust survivors who tried to immigrate to Israel after WWII, but were detained in Cyprus. Al ha-Saf was published by students and alumni of a "Seminary for the Training of Counselors" based in one of the Cyprus camps. Publication of this periodical ended with the closing of the camps in February 1949.-- the vendor.
