Overview
- Summary
- At the outbreak of WWII, Joeseph Strip (then Stripounsky) was a teenager living in Antwerp, Brussels. On May 10, 1940 the Nazis invaded Belgium and the Stripounsky family preparations to leave Belgium accelerated, fleeing on May 14, one day ahead of the Nazis overrunning Antwerp. This diary covers the year 1941, much of which was spent crossing France as refugees. The book contains images of the original diary pages accompanied by a translation into English.
