- Summary
- Gypsies, or "Rom", are a centuries old race without a homeland. Misconceptions about Rom occur because of the gypsy tradition of keeping an oral history rather than a written record of the people. Hence, outsiders have provided many misconceptions about the nomadic gypsies as fortune-tellers, thieves, and prostitutes. This nomadic culture has endured persecution, hatred, and even murder for centuries. This program helps dispel some misconceptions about gypsies.
