- Recounts the life of Georgy (Georges Halpern), one of the 44 children deported to Auschwitz from the children's home at Izieu. He was born in 1935 in Vienna, the only child of Jules and Serafine Halpern. After the Anschluss, the family escaped to France, where the parents survived the war.
