- Summary
- Presents two diaries, both of them from Compiègne and Drancy, written by Montel between April-August 1942 and by Kohn between December 1941-September 1943. Montel was sent back and forth between the two camps before he was deported to Auschwitz, where he perished. Kohn was interned at Compiègne, then at Drancy and adjacent camps. He escaped in 1944. Montel and Kohn both acted as representatives for the internees at the camps. Pp. 7-40 contain an introduction by Klarsfeld.
