    Overview

    Summary
This work discusses the possibility of a fascist party rising in Russian politics by examining certain preconditions to the rise of the Partito Nazionale Fascista in Italian politics between the years of 1919 and 1925. Using the economic, political, and social issues of pre-Fascist Italy as a model, comparisons are then made with post-Soviet Russia. Significant similarities become apparent, allowing possible conclusions about the possibility of a Russian fascist party coming to power. Although there are two key differences between the political issues of pre-Fascist Italy and post-Soviet Russia, the influence these two factors may have on the possible rise of a fascist party in Russian politics is difficult to predict.
