    Website sponsored by the 392nd Bomb Group Memorial Association. Photographs, maps, names lists, and individual camp histories document the POW camps for captured Allied airmen. Includes research on the seven German Stalag Lufts 1, 3, 4, 6, 7a, 13d and 17b. The information these sites contain are maps, photos, government records, first hand historical records and stories. Stalag Luft III at Sagan, former East Germany, was the site of the mass escape of fifty Allied prisoners of war in 1944, an event that was later immortalized in the film The Great Escape.
