    The Vernadsky Library is the repository of recordings made from 1912 to 1947 in Jewish areas of Ukraine and Belarus. The result of ethnographic expeditions initiated by S. An-sky and continued by other Jewish folklorists including Moiseĭ Beregovskiĭ, the recordings chronicle the achievements of folk musicians during the pre- and post-revolutionary periods of Ukrainian history.
