    Summary
    In an interfaith service that took place June 4, 1997, at the Church on the Way, Dean Jones of the Committee of Concerned Christians presents the first Varian Fry awards. Awards are presented to Barbro Osher, Swedish Consul General, on behalf of the Swedish nation, and Marcel Varzeano, an associate of Varian Fry, for their actions which resulted in the saving of thousands of people from the Holocaust.
