Auf wiedersehen im Himmel! die Sinti-Kinder von der St. Josefspflege / Konzeption und Regie, Romani Rose, Michail Krausnick

Publication

Through historical footage, still photographs and interviews with survivors, this video documents the story of a group of Sinti children in St. Josefspflege, Wurttemberg, separated by the Nazis from their deported parents in 1938, and subjected to "racial biological research" by Eva Justin, an associate of the infamous Dr. Robert Ritter of the Rassenhygienisches und Bevolkerungsbiologisches Institut. Upon completion of her research in 1944, the children were sent to Auschwitz Bile, the gypsy camp in Birkenau, where all but four perished.
