Dachau prisoner information from captured German documents
"This is a five CD-ROM set with approximately 122,000 prisoner surnames listed alphabetically. The following information is included: surname, first name, arrival date and place of birth, last place of residence (not always complete), final disposition of prisoner, e.g., death, release, transfer. Those held at Dachau, the first Nazi concentration camp, included Jews and non-Jews and political prisoners such as Communists and Social Democrats, Jehovah's Witnesses, gypsies, and homosexuals. Jews from Germany, the Soviet Union, Poland and Lithuania as well as Hungary and France were incarcerated there at various times. This material was taken from five reels of microfilm, part of a larger collection of captured German records held at the National Archives Records Administration in College Park, MD (NARA)"--JewishGen Web site.
