- Tells the story of Frieda Belinfante, the first female conductor to have her own symphony orchestra, first in Holland and later in California. Controversial because of her homosexuality, she showed a remarkable will in everything she did. A member of the resistance during World War II, she later resumed her musical career in the Hollywood studios.
