    Overview

    Summary
Produced at the end of World War II to document the Nazi atrocities evidenced in various concentration camps, the film uses film footage shot by the British, Americans and Russians as they liberated the camps and the personal narratives of survivors and other witnesses. The film project was originally under the direction of Sidney Bernstein who was attached to the Psychological Warfare Division of Allied Supreme Headquarters. It was never released due to the international tension over Berlin in 1948.
