    Overview

    Description
    LS Warsaw city scenes, including HA views of city street with trolley. The narration states that Warsaw again now shows an every-day [normal] appearance. MCU sign, "Nur fur Juden" [For Jews Only] with Jewish star on trolley, also in Polish. Railroad and wire repair work being done. CU men in trolley appear wary of camera.

    Film Provenance
    The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum purchased this from the Bundesarchiv in Berlin, Germany in September 1991. The footage was transferred at Bibo TV in Germany and obtained as research for the Museum's Permanent Exhibition.

    The colonnade seen here is Pilsudski Square (renamed Adolf Hitler Platz in 1940).
