    05:02:43 Goebbels, Minister of Propaganda, speaks at bookburning, Berlin Opernplatz, at night: brief clip of his speech referring to Jewish intellectual domination . . ." Followed by shots of men throwing books into the bonfire. People, mainly civilian, march past behind the fire and the flames roar. "Berlin, May 10, 1933" . To 05:03:08

    05:03:09 Joseph Goebbels, Minister of Popular Enlightenment and Propaganda, speaks from podium at Lustgarten to assembled crowd, announcing boycott of Jewish businesses. Pan of masses as Goebbels speaks with some passion, using his hands. Crowd responds "Heil" to him, repeatedly.

    05:03:58 Berlin, April 1, 1933: SA putting up antisemitic signs. Street scene of SA soldiers with armbands on a truck, and a crowd of German civilians yelling anti-Jewish chants. Soldier paints Jewish star on shop window. Crowds, street action, cars, bikes; many young boys in crowd. Soldiers and civilians all aware of camera.

    05:04:20 Leipzig, 1933: Various court views at the trial of the alleged Reichstag arsonists, including courthouse facade: "Dem Deutschen Volke." HA general view of courtroom. MS of van der Lubbe, Torgler, and Dimitrov (the accused) seated and guarded by soldiers in uniform. Sentences read.

    05:04:56 1935: Hitler stands at podium among other officials on a platform and delivers a short address. He then sits and listens as Goering stands at his seat in the row behind Hitler and reads the Nuremberg Laws aloud. No audience shots, but they cheer "Heil."
