    Description
    (LIB 6092) City of Regensburg, Germany, April 27, 1945. LS, CUs, infantrymen and trucks of the 65th Infantry Division cross bridge, drive thru streets and outskirts of town. LS, wrecked cars in railroad yard. VS, German civilians clear earthen roadblock under archway, shoveling rocks into carts. CUs, captured German WAC and other prisoners. Seq: Germans, Russians and Poles search through wrecked railroad cars picking out clothing, food and other useful articles. MSs, CUs, German and US officers at surrender proceedings in town square. (NOTE: Surrender was effected between Col Frank Dunkerly of Lawrence, Kansas, and a German major who commanded the city garrison.)

    (LIB 6093) Generals Meet at River, Moosburg, Germany, April 30, 1945. MSs, MCUs, CUs, Maj Gen James A. Van Fleet, III Corps, Third US Army and Maj Gen AC Smith of the 14th Armored Div, VI Corps, Seventh Army, meet on the banks of the Saar River and examine wrecked bridge.

    (LIB 6094) Liberated Allies, Wurzen, Germany, April 24, 1945. MSs, CUs, large groups of freed Allied prisoners including American, British, French Moroccans, Poles, Slavs and Indians. VS, partially destroyed bridge of Wurzen as ex-prisoners scramble over wreckage in attempt to cross the river and reach the US lines. CUs, facial studies of the various prisoners.

MSs, US soldier on horseback escorts column of freed women laborers through streets. CUs, various individuals, many wearing striped prisoner uniforms. MSs, group of women fighting over loaf of bread.
