    Wooden tower with "Volte 4" at left. St. Vitus cathedral in BG. Man reading a newspaper at side of Vltava River. MS bridge; large posters: "Terror," "Chaos" crossed out; Rudolfinum Palace in BG. Tramways, pedestrians crossing bridge. Poster on which the four political parties are united with coat of arms: "United in the War. United in the Peace." Night scenes before the general elections in Prague: huge crowds spread over the main streets in Prague, loud speakers pour music, songs and political eloquence in the streets while tracts are distributed, streets covered with tracts. Civilian preparing vote in the "isoloir." Jan Masaryk, Minister of Foreign Affairs, voting. The bureau examining elector's cards. Several shots of people reading results of election on posters. Facade of Social Democrat headquarters (#3). The Communist Party headquarters; statue of Lenin; photos of Czech leaders. The Communist Party holds a meeting immediately after the elections. They examine situation resulting from their victory; listen to Nosek, Minister of Interior; appoint Gottwald president; crowd applauds; "With Gottwald we won, With Gottwald we must achieve our plan." A meeting of the "Comite Directeur" of the Communist Party: Gottwald holds meeting in headquarters; Nosek; party obtained nearly 40% popular vote; smoking, talking.
