Physical Description: Rectangular open box; type and hand-written note stapled to one side.
Dimensions: overall : 4.880 x 10.750 x 7.990 in. (12.395 x 27.305 x 20.295 cm.)
Materials: overall : wood, paper, metal, ink
Signature: side of box, on paper, stapled to box "Cecil Welch 1st Sgt"
Inscription: type and hand-written note stapled to box reading " [typed] "I certify that the inclosed [sic] articles are a bona fide gift [paper cut]/at less than 50 dollars from a member of the Armes Forces of [paper cut]/United States on duty outside the continental limits of the u[paper cut]/States and under Public Law 790 are entitled to free entry. [end type]...[hand-inscribed]/Contains gifts to me from liberated inmates of Gusen/concentration camp...[end inscription]"; at left side, and partially covered by, stapled note, the following is inscribed "[partially visible] From/1st Sgt/35160/Bn Hq./APO 20" in ink; see Remarks regarding remaining inscriptions (not enough room in this field)
