- Collection of documents and correspondence relating to Landsberger and Hausler families from Frankfurt, Germany. Kurt and Gertrude Landsberger left Frankfurt in 1936 and settled in Milan, Italy. Vera was born there in 1938. In 1940, they were able to immigrate to the United States.

Landsberger family papers
Document
Contains two German passports issued on October 12, 1938 in Milan, Italy to Kurt and Gertrude Landsberger and their daughter Vera (donor). Also contains correspondence relating to Frieda Landsberger and her son, Alfred, and efforts made on their behalf to obtain US visas. Frieda died in Camp de Gurs in France and Alfred was deported to Auschwitz on August 12, 1942.
