Marburg family collection

Consists of letters and documents related to the Holocaust experiences of Lily Marburg, originally of Vienna, Austria. Includes family correspondence from Vienna, Luxembourg, and the Bayogne detention camp related to the attempts of various family members to escape and to emigrate. After the Anschluss, Lily was in Switzerland, traveled to Italy where she got a job as a dancer, eventually traveled to North Africa with the dance company of Esmanoff and Gerda, and spent the war in Tangier, where she met her husband.
