- Source of acquisition is the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich. Archiv für Zeitgeschichte (AfZ), Switzerland. Original archival signature at the source archive: NL Philippe Schwed. Documents were collected by Philippe Schwed and donated to AfZ. After the unexpected death of Philippe Schwed his daughters had to find a new home for their father’s extensive library and documentation pertaining to Swiss-Jewish history. The collections were offered to various individuals and institutions. The Archive for Contemporary History acquired those parts of the documentation pertaining to the trial in Bern. These files come from a variety of sources: Dr. Georges Brunschvig, Dr. Boris Lifschitz, Prof. Dr. Hans Jonak-von Freyenwald, and Dr. Oskar Meyer. How these files were acquired by Philippe Schwed is not known. How these files were acquired by Philippe Schwed is not known. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s International Archives Project in Nov. 2011.
