- Contains a bound manuscript written by Kurt Grubler titled, "Death or Survival: A Survivor's Holocaust Experience," correspondence and documents relating to the Nazi persecution of Jews in Austria and Poland, and materials comprised chiefly of correspondence (1915-1948) and official documentation (1900-1942) of the Grubler and Littner families. The collection includes copies of drawings, photographs, and articles about the history and persecution of the Jewish community of Linz, Austria, as well as documents and copies of documents relating to Nazi propaganda and the Nazi occupation of Austria.

- In 1992, Kurt Grubler, then a USRIA volunteer, visited the Israelitische Kultusgemeinde (Jewish Community Center) in Linz. After his return to the United States, Grubler provided photocopies of type script pages and illustrations, together with photocopies of periodical articles, apparently prepared and/or assembled by the Israelitische Kultusgemeinde or the Padogogische Akademie Des Bundes in connection with a historical exhibit on Jews in Linz, which opened on 4 May 1988. Grubler also wrote his own memoir entitled "Death or Survival" and was given the draft manuscript of "My Journey through the Night" written by his friend, J. Littner.
