- Jean L. Shaw discovered the postcard within a collection of postage stamps that she obtained from her step-father, Jack Silberger. It is addressed to her step-grandfather, Morris Silberger. She donated that postcard to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives on May 5, 1998.
