- The system of arrangement of the source repository has been preserved in the microfilmed reel. This collection is arranged thematically and chronologically in six series: 1. Instructions, orders and announcements; 2. Jewish council records; 3. Inspection department records; 4. Registration department records; 5. Ghetto council team- leaders; 6. Programs, announcements, posters of theatre performances, concerts, sport competitions, held in the ghetto.

- Source of acquisition is the Lietuvos centrinis valstybės archyvas (Lithuanian Central State Archives), Fond 1421. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Programs Division ordered the filming of the records in 1998. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the microfilm reels in June 1999.
