- The collection was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 1992 in memory of Ada C. Hecht and Maximilian M. Hecht, parents of the donor, Manfred H. Hecht, who were deported from Theresienstadt to Auschwitz in Oct. 1944 and perished there soon thereafter.
