    Biography
    Magda Hellinger Blau was born on 19 August 1916 in Michalovce, Czechoslovakia (Michalovce, Slovakia). After the German invasion she was deported to Auschwitz II-Birkenau. She was sent on a death march in January 1945 and was liberated by the Soviet Red Army. After the war she lived in Prague before immigrated to Israel. In 1965 she immigrated to Australia.

    The postcards were created by Magda Hellinger Blau and other members of the Hellinger family during the Holocaust. Photocopies of the postcards were donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives in Aug. 1992.
