    Interview Summary
    Robert Clary describes being deported from Paris, France on September 4, 1942; his family’s apartment building, where they were the only Jewish family; the three day journey by train to Germany; being in Auschwitz concentration camp for 19 months; the bombings by the Americans in the camp; being sent on a death much during which many people died; arriving in Gross-Rosen concentration camp; being 16 years old and separated from his family, all of whom perished; his methods of coping with his memories; and speaking publicly about his experiences.
