The papers consist of documents relating to Alexander Schenker's experiences as a deportee in the Soviet Union from 1940-1942 and as a resident from 1942-1946. The collection also relates to the experiences of Alexander Schenker's father, Oskar Schenker, who was a refugee in Japan. Includes a Polish citizenship certificate issued to Oskar Schenker which includes a visa stamped by the Japanese consul in Kaunas, Chiune Sugihara.
