    Brief Narrative
    The sailor's ribbon is from a Norwegian ship, the "SS Bergensfjord," on which the donor and his parents traveled to the United States in 1939. The ribbon is made from black fabric decorated with the phrase, "S.S. Bergensfjord," in gold lettering and a red, white, and blue Norwegian flag.
