Ziegler family papers
Document
Consists of documents, photographs and scrip belonging to the Ziegler family (Isaak, Frieda, son Josef [who died during the war], and daughter Frances), including documents related to their experiences in hiding near Lanki, Poland, and their lives in the Föhrenwald displaced persons camp. The papers include 94 photographs and copy prints documenting life before and after the Holocaust: photographs from before the war document life in Bobrka, Poland, while after the war they were interned in the Föhrenwald DP camp. Also includes pre-war, wartime, and post-war documentation, including ORT training in pattern-making, as well as documents related to their emigration to the United States and attempts between the 1950s and 1980s to get reparations.
