- Image is of Herman Yablokoff (donor's uncle), a prominent actor in Yiddish theater, holding Michael Russek [donor's son] upon the arrival of the Russeks in N.Y. on March 3, 1949. The Russeks had immigrated from a displaced persons camp in Germany with the assistance of the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS), as indicated by the pin on Michael's jacket.
