    Description
    Contains documents relating to the response of the British Jewish community during World War II, including aid for refugees, immigration and Palestine issues, reports of persecution and conditions for Jews in Europe, as well as correspondence with Jewish communities and organizations in Europe and throughout the world, and President's and Secretaries' papers. Correspondents include: Neville Laski, Adolph Brotman, Selig Brodetsky, and Barnett Janer. Also contains Aliens Committee minutes and papers, Foreign Affairs Committee minutes, and Press Committee publicity material. Also contains records relating to restitution organizations, international communal cooperation, and the World Jewish Congress.

    Provenance
    The records were retained in the custody of the Board of Deputies of British Jews at its office in Woburn House until 1992 when they were transferred to the Greater London Record Office, now know as the London Metropolitan Archives (LMA). The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's International Archives Project acquired the microfilm from the London Metropolitan Archives, Great Britain, in 2003. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the microfilm in Feb. , Aug., Nov. 2003, and July 2004.
