- Interview Summary
- Consists of an interview with Ernst and Hilde Hofmann. On the tape, Mr. Hofmann gives a brief history of Jewish life in Bad Kissingen, Germany, and discusses his experiences in the early 1930s and his immigration to the United States in 1935. Hilde Hofmann discusses her immigration to the United States in Jan. 1938. She was forced to leave her parents behind, and while her mother died of natural causes in 1941, her father was deported and perished. Also consists of a transcript of the oral history interview. The interview was conducted on Dec. 8, 1991 by Dr. Martin Rosensky.
