    The collection consists of a photograph of Helene Gotthold, a Jehovah's Witness, in 1918 and a photograph of Gotthold and her two children, Gerd and Gisela, on June 25, 1936.

    Helene Gotthold was a Jehovah's Witness who was arrested many times for her anti-Nazi views. She was convicted, condemned to death, and beheaded on December 8, 1944 in the Plotzensee in Berlin. Her Children Gerd and Gisela survived.
