Arie Teitelbaum was born in Kraków, Poland. During World War II, he was in the Kraków ghetto and Płaszow, Gusen II, and Mauthausen concentration camps. He is married to Irena Teitelbaum Paula Irena Grob who is also a Holocaust survivor.
