Overview

Description: Consists of copies of birth and death certificates for members of the Zernik and Kaplan families, originally of Berlin-Charlottenberg, Germany. Hans, his wife Lilly Kaplan, and daughter Ursula Zernik, emigrated from Germany in the late 1930s to Santo Domingo. From there, they spent a few years in China before immigrating to the United States after the war. Includes copies of documents needed for citizenship and immigration.
