Description: Consists of one memoir, 40 pages, entitled "Before the Storm," written in 2004 by Alexander Cohen, originally of Budapest, Hungary. In the memoir, Mr. Cohen describes the anti-Jewish measures in Budapest before 1944 and the chaos of life in Budapest in 1944. He describes his experiences in a Hungarian forced labor battalion and the deaths of members of his family and those of his wife, Magda, whom he married after liberation.
