    Papers consist of a memoir written by Maximilian Winkler, M.D. [Rosita Winkler's father] that records his experiences in Transylvania and Hungary during the Holocaust. Also included is a CD that contains a transcript of the memoir.

    Provenance
    The memoir was written by Maximilian Winkler in Dachau concentration camp following his liberation there. He made contemporary corrections and additions to it in the early 1980s. The manuscript was transcribed by Rosita Winkler. The memoir and transcript were donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2006 by Rosita Winkler.
