- The collection contains approximately 2,500 testimonies of Holocaust survivors coming from different countries. The testimonies deal with the fate of the survivors during Nazi rule in their countries of origin. The testimonies were gathered by The Central Historical Commission (CHC) of the Central Committee of Liberated Jews in the U.S. Zone, Munich.

- Source of acquisition is the Yad Vashem, Record Group M.1 E. The Central Historical Commission (CHC) of the Central Committee of Liberated Jews in the U.S. Zone, Munich, gathered these testimonies during the three years of its existence. The original microfilming of the collection was done in 1955.The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's International Archives Project transferred microfilms to the Museum Archives in Dec. 2007.
