The collection consists of an embroidered textile, documents, and photographs relating to the experiences of Eva Hirschel, her mother and step father Hedwig and Max Hirschel, and brother Horst who fled Bresalu, Germany, for Shanghai, China, in 1940.
Provenance
The collection was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2016 by Sabrina and Richard Kahn on behalf of the Estate of Eva Hirschel.
