Edgar Rauner papers

Contains correspondence from Edgar Rauner (donor's brother) to his parents Neddy and Aron in New York. Edgar, a member of the United States 7th Army was a refugee of Nazi Germany, arrived in the United States before WWII and was drafted into the US Army where he was stationed at Fort Ritchie in Maryland before being sent overseas to Europe during the war. Also included in the collection are photographs taken in Europe, depicting the American Army and many captured German propaganda images.
