Major Milton Evans Dowse: World War II Experiences

Contains two copies of “Major Milton Evans Dowse: World War II Experiences,” compiled by David Paul Dowse, consisting of the transcript and recording of an interview that David Dowse conducted with Major Milton Evans Dowse in 1984 about his experiences, as well as copied documents that provide additional context. Major Dowse was involved in the D-Day invasion of Normandy as a member of the United States Army, and was a prisoner of war in Oflag 64 before escaping to join the Russian front as it advanced toward Berlin.
