    Description
    Filmed by the local photography shop owner. Slowed down film of men marching through the streets. Young boys wear armbands and carry a Nazi flag. Soldiers march through. Nazi flags hang from the buildings to the right and left. Swastika armband. Nazi flag hangs from the “Hotel Post.”

    10:23:16 A building at the center of town with German eagle. Nazi flags. Nazi officers in Sturmabteilung (SA) uniforms climb out of a car and greet people. 10:23:26 Franz Hofer, Gauleiter of Gau Tirol Vorarlberg, is second from left. They salute, one appears to drink a shot of something. The parade continues. A large gathering of the SA. Kodak logo.

    10:24:42 People stand in front of the building seen in RG-60.1869 “...zum Greif” with a Nazi flag. A man eats soup or stew and makes faces at the camera. Everyone eats. Women serve the food. Kodak logo. Streets and buildings covered in Nazi flags. Nazis in the streets. Children waving small Nazi flags. Strands of Nazi pennants across town. A castle on top of a hill. Sign: “Ein Volk Ein Reich Ein Führer!” Another building has a banner with swastikas on each end that reads “Wi danken den Führer mit.. Ja” Nazi pennants.

    Film Provenance
    Karl Hoeffkes has collected over 2,000 hours of rare original film material documenting the period from 1925 to 1946. The collection consists of mostly amateur footage in both black and white and color that focuses on Europe during the pre-war and mid-war periods. The United States Holocaut Memorial Museum entered a cooperative agreement with Agentur Karl Hoeffkes in April 2015 which enables the Museum to provide access to the entire AKH archive and use the material for future exhibitions, research and scientific purposes, and publications.
