- B/w Cars move through a rainy street. Assembled Wehrmacht units and high officers stand in formation alongside the road. Mountain chapels. Göring exits a building in a fur hat. He then stands back under the doorway. Marching band. Snowy hillside from a funicular car, mountain railway. Snowy view from the top of the hill. Small log cabins. An avalanche. Göring walks with his cane and fur hat, followed by multiple men. Mining carts.
11:07:46 Soldiers line up alongside train tracks. Sign “Leoben.” Leoben, Austria. The soldiers perform a rifle drill, led by their commander whose back is to the camera. They present arms. Train station Kufstein. Göring walks through and salutes, wearing a long brown jacket. Out of the train car window he shakes a mans hand. A large crowd looks up at him, many saluting. He accepts a bundle of flowers. People smile joyfully at him. Soldiers lean out of a “Deutsche Recichsbahn” train car. They smile for the camera. One combs his hair. Landscape, waves crashing onto the sand, rocky beach. Baltic Sea. The dunes, covered in seagrass. A house. Two owls in crate. - Film Title

- Karl Hoeffkes has collected over 2,000 hours of rare original film material documenting the period from 1925 to 1946. The collection consists of mostly amateur footage in both black and white and color that focuses on Europe during the pre-war and mid-war periods. The United States Holocaut Memorial Museum entered a cooperative agreement with Agentur Karl Hoeffkes in April 2015 which enables the Museum to provide access to the entire AKH archive and use the material for future exhibitions, research and scientific purposes, and publications.
