- Richard Connuck describes his experiences during the liberation of Dachau concentration camp as a member of the 42nd Infantry Division; his recollection of seeing freed slave laborers upon his arrival in Germany; his duty in displaced persons camps following the war; and his meeting of the Stahls, a couple in Bremen who hid a Jewish woman in the crypt of the Bremen Cathedral for two years.
