The collection contains the archives of the SSA and primarily documents the organization and personnel of the German special services (RSHA and Abwehr) during World War II. The archives come from two different sources: 1) the archives “ DALO” from the Bureau of Documention in Germany (Bdoc 9000) and to which the second office gave a classification scheme of two to seven digits beginning with 4, and 2) the archives “K” arranged thematically. The collection includes reports on the German special services and documents pertaining to the Abwehr and the SIPO-SD/ RSHA, collaboration, the Wehrmacht, special units, the SS, the Nazi Party and its organization, resistance to the Allied forces occupying Germany after the war, missing persons, interned persons, transfers and repatriation, people accused of war crimes, concentration and internment camps, surveillance and communications control, anti-Nazi Germans, and the German press.
