Description: Selected records related to evacuation of the civilian population to Shimkent region in Kazakhstan during WWII. It includes information about resettlement, employment, provision of food supplies and medical assistance to the evacuees by the local Soviet and Communist Party authorities. The collection also includes various lists of evacuees who arrived in Shimkent region in 1941-1942 as well as statistical reports and correspondence files.
