The collection consists of medals, coins, and research material collected by Severin Szperling. The medals commemorate the Holocaust, specific camps and ghettos, events and individuals. They were minted and produced from a variety of countries including the United States, Canada, Israel, Denmark, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic, France, Ukraine, Argentina, Greece, Italy, Belgium, Great Britain, and the Netherlands.

Provenance

The materials were originally collected by Severin Szperling beginning in 1972. The collection was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2019 by Severin Szperling.
