    Description
    Collection of copy prints, passport, certificates, documents, identity documents documenting the experiences of Edith Schmerler and Ernest Hubler (donors’ parents) before, during, and after the Holocaust. Also includes pre-war photo album documenting family and friends, and a scrapbook compiled on the occasion of Ernest Hubler’s Bar Mitzvah in 1933 that contains loose and adhered calling cards, postcards, letters and telegrams. Both Edith and Ernest were originally from Vienna. Edith left via Belgium, arriving in the US with her younger brother Herbert in May 1939. Ernest immigrated to the United States in January 1939.
