- Soprano Marguerite Kozenn and pianist and composer Julius Chaje shake hands with two men in front of a gate at a rest home or DP camp in Italy with the sign “AMERICAN JOINT DISTRIBUTION COMMITTEE.” Kozenn and Chaje tour the terrace with a large fountain and several small statues. CU of a statue of a cherub. Kozenn, Chaje, and the two men walking down a set of steps in a garden. INT, CU hands playing piano. Chaje plays piano, then stands up, bowing to the camera. Chaje plays piano accompaniment as Kozenn sings for the audience of refugees. Chaje and Kozenn talk to several young refugees in the rest home or camp. Kozenn speaks with an older woman, boys in the background look at the camera. 01:07:10 Italian countryside. View out a bus window of hills, canyons, villages, and a lake. Road seen through the front windshield of a bus. Mountains and a bridge, sometimes the bus side mirror is in the frame. 01:08:18 EXT first aid truck drives under a large cement arch. A man opens the door of the truck and helps the Israeli dance pioneer, Hassia Levy, get out while shaking her hand. CU Levy applies makeup indoors while in dance costume. Levy performs, wearing a long skirt and veil. EXT brief shot of the smiling Levy. She greets the residents outside and carries a toddler.
